Gerard W. Clum, D.C., FICA

Dr. Gerry Clum, the immediate past-president of Life Chiropractic College West (Hayward, CA) has been active in the chiropractic profession for more than forty years. Over the past four decades Dr. Clum has been involved in the academic, accreditation and organizational efforts of the educational community of the chiropractic profession. He was a founder and officer of the Association of Chiropractic Colleges (ACC), a member and officer of the Council on Chiropractic Education (CCE) and he has served as a test committee member and consultant to the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners (NBCE).  In addition he has also been active in the broader infrastructure of the chiropractic world through the International Chiropractors Association (ICA), the World Federation of Chiropractic (WFC), the Foundation for Chiropractic Progress (F4CP).

Dr. Clum’s areas of expertise include the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010 (ObamaCare), the Health Insurance Portability and Accountable Act (HIPAA), cervical spine adjusting and cervical artery issues and informed consent in chiropractic practice. He routinely presents undergraduate and continuing education oriented lectures in each of these areas and commonly serves as an expert witness in administrative hearings and litigation related to these subjects and chiropractic in general.
